ANTHURUM 'OILCLOTH FLOWER'
The Oilcloth Flower also known as Anthurium Anderianum 'Red Champion' is a fantastic house plant that just explodes with colour with its dark green waxy leaves with bright red leaf like flowers. These plants provide a wide array of colours from red through to white and flower almost all year round.
The Oilcloth Flower requires a bright spot with some full sun during winter months and partial shade during the intense summer sun heat, also you must keep this plant at an average house hold temperature between 18-22 degrees and away from draughts as it may cause some damage to the plant.
This plant likes to be kept moist almost all the time so make sure it does not dry out, keep well watered during the growing season of spring/summer.
for best results grow on a bed of pebbles and mist regularly to keep humidity higher.
Cut flowers will last for a long time in a vase of water in a shaded but bright location as it has a very waxy almost fake look and feel to them.
