CHILLI PLANT

The Chilli Plant is a fantastic little plant suitable for growing indoors in a sunny location and producing edible chilli as its bloom is just an added bonus, if this plant is well looked after the chillies produced will be wonderful and in great numbers.

 

Water this plant regularly, every day and make sure to not let the plant dry out.

The Chilli plant likes full sun to part shade growing conditions. Re-pot the Chilli plant as it out grows its current pot as it can grow 2ft within 2 months so is a fast growing in the right conditions.

 

The Chillies can be remover and eaten when green but if left on the plant then they will eventually go red and are still good even when starting to wrinkle up, the chilli plant will produce chillies within 2 weeks from start of flowering.

 

Seed germination to be started indoors befor the first frost and and be grown indoors in a sunny location or outdoors during the longer sunny months, bloom will start around mid summer with chillies ready for harvest in late summer, you can store chillies by hanging them up using a needle and thread in a dry location allowing them to dry ready for use during the winter months or later, chillies can also be frozen streight from the plant.
